family fun at The Waterway {The Woodlands, TX, family photographer}

This sweet little dude was so fun to shoot. He just recently turned one, and he's practically a man already. He was very independent and wanted to explore everything, so maybe I shouldn't have suggested somewhere with a big river in the middle of everything. Whoops! :) Oh, well, we managed to get tons of great shots anyway. Enjoy your preview, and I'll have the rest ready for you soon.

These handsome boys and I had a great shoot in Old Town Spring this weekend. Mom, I can't wait to show you the rest! Happy Memorial Day weekend.

the little details {The Woodlands/Spring, TX, lifestyle photographer}

These few shots are for my friend and wedding planner, Janine, who organized this beautiful wedding. Here's the link to her Facebook  page, if you want to check out her other work. Aren't these details lovely? She even made that chandelier.
Secondly, I have received several emails lately asking me about my editing style, and I can't take all of the credit. Several months ago, I took a workshop from Andee Tate of Crave Photography, which helped me improve my editing skills immensely. She's currently hosting a spectacular giveaway for photographers on her blog. Careful. You might start drooling when you see all of these goodies.

sunset wedding; {The Woodlands/Spring, TX, family photographer}

Here is the full preview of the beautiful wedding I shot this weekend. This is just a taste of the many images I have of this lovely couple. Thank you, thank you for choosing me as your photographer. I loved it, and I really hope you love these.

I once had a friend and client tell me that I have a little story for every photo. I do. So, I have to tell the story of this one, because it’s not the typical shot you’d find as a favorite, but this one is mine.
I love it because of the moment it captures, and because I am the nerdiest of the nerds.

So, after they were announced as Mr. and Mrs., they walked back down the aisle and to the house where they would live as man and wife. I wanted to give them just the teensiest second to have that special moment to themselves without anyone (me) in their faces. I love how strong and handsome he is in his dark suit and wedding band and how feminine and lovely she is with her curls and bare back. Someone in the last row had just yelled “congratulations,” and I love how you can tell how tightly she is gripping her new husband as she turns to smile and say thank you.
Swoon.
Told ya. Super nerd.
Oh, and, in case you haven’t heard, I have a small love affair going on with sun flare.

6-month-old cutie pie; The Woodlands, TX, family photographer

I'm sure you remember this beautiful family from this little dude's 3-month shoot. He's 6 months old now and as cute as ever!

I had to give you a preview of you and your sweet babies for Mother's Day. :)

This might be my favorite from the session. Of course I love taking pictures of kids, but I'm a sucker for romantic love. And there's nothing more romantic than being able to carve out three seconds of love in between chasing two kiddos around.

Love this sweet family!

kids with four legs; The Woodlands, TX, lifestyle photographer

So, these kitties aren't my typical clients, but a special lady wanted me to take pictures of her babies, so here they are. They were perfect angels. :)

newborn baby boy; The Woodlands/Spring, TX newborn photographer

This first picture is my new favorite. I love how beautiful my sweet friend looks--and I mean inside and out. I got a little teary eyed when I looked at this picture, because she looks like the epitome of a happy woman. Now, on the flip side, if I could pull back from this shot, you would see the two big boys at the foot of the bed yelling and having a wild pillow fight and driving her bananas. But isn't that what being a mother is about? One second of complete bliss followed by another second of complete chaos? Love.

These boys are so sweet.

Thank you for sharing these oh-so-precious moments with me.

photo shoot play date; The Woodlands, TX, lifestyle photographer

I wanted to do a little play date photo shoot with my best girl and her best friend. My little one is the one in the fireman hat and pink dress. These two were great models and had fun dressing up. Enjoy these cuties!

sweet little brother and big sister; The Woodlands, TX, family photographer

You may remember these two cutie pies from their holiday family session in November. Oh, how I love watching these babies grow up. I can't believe he's 6 months already and on the verge of sitting up and crawling. Enjoy this preview, and I'll have the rest to you soon!

One quick note about this one. I just love this age when babies start to recognize people and start to understand their little worlds. I thought he was so sweet here looking at his pretty momma with such joy. And I love his fuzzy hair. :)

9-month baby girl; The Woodlands, TX, family photographer

Love this cutie pie! She may just have the prettiest eyes ever.

brother and sister in the bluebonnets; The Woodlands, Spring, TX, family photographer

My favorite brother and sister at sunset in the bluebonnets. Does it get any better?

This one may not seem all that extraordinary, but I love it. It's hard for me to believe that Baby R isn't a baby anymore and that he and his sister are now playmates and have fun running around (and away from me!) together. Love.
