brother and sister in the bluebonnets; The Woodlands, Spring, TX, family photographer

My favorite brother and sister at sunset in the bluebonnets. Does it get any better?

This one may not seem all that extraordinary, but I love it. It's hard for me to believe that Baby R isn't a baby anymore and that he and his sister are now playmates and have fun running around (and away from me!) together. Love.

brother and sister Valentine's Day mini-shoot; Spring, TX, family photographer

I sure love these two sweet kiddos. These are from their Valentine's Day mini-shoot. We have lots of kissing pics, but it would always make this little dude laugh, and his big sister (who does not like having her picture taken) loved giving him kisses and trying to make him laugh. Thanks for a fun morning!

big brown eyes; The Woodlands, TX, family photographer

Oh, my goodness. I'm in love with these brown eyes. This almost one-year-old little dude is the youngest of three of such a lovely family. Here are some of my favorites from today's shoot.
1. He couldn't be cuter.
2. The baby hands. The curiosity and exploration. The water in the background. I love it all.
3. Trying to get the camera.
Love, love, love!

the best boys in Houston; The Woodlands, TX, family photographer

Ok, quick little story. When you book with me, please assume your toddler is going to act like a crazy fool during the shoot. Feel free to say, "He never acts like this at home...." It's a combination of my weird sense of humor and love of kids, but I think it's pretty stinkin' hilarious when kids act kind of crazy--seriously, my two-and-a-half year old had her first public tantrum the other day, and I was laughing so hard my eyes were watering. The point is, you don't need to be embarrassed if your kiddos are a little wild on picture day, becuase they are ALL like that.
So, back to this shoot. The purpose was to get little man's one-year photos and a few of the boys together. These boys were so incredibly perfect, we really could have been done after 5 minutes. At one point, their cutie pie momma even said, "They never act like this at home...." Haha. Thanks for such a great shoot, and I really can't wait to show the rest to you!

Old Town Spring holiday family photos; The Woodlands, TX, family photographer

I realize that it's going to seem insincere when I say so often that these are some of my favorite peeps, but they really are! I love this family. It was a very chilly morning, and these boys were so great. Thanks for a great shoot, and I can't wait to show you the rest.

So, I have to say something about this one. I know this momma and I'm sure she wouldn't pick this as her favorite picture, but I adore it. Have you ever seen a better depiction of a beautiful, young, loving mother? Thirty years into the future when he has his own baby, H is going to look at this and love everything about it.

So adorable! The Woodlands, TX, family photographer

Oh, my. This little cutie was such a doll. When I walked up, she ran straight to me and gave me a hug. I think she could sense that I'm a momma and have my own 2-year-old baby girl. Thanks so much, and I can't wait to show you your gallery, Grandma!

morning light in The Woodlands; Spring, TX family photographer

Ok, I think I love every detail of this photo. First, I love the over-the-shoulder backlighting, of course; it gives it such a romantic feel. But, I really love the beautiful people (one of my very favorite families), and I love the wood, and I love the vines, and I love the clothes, and I especially love the sweet smiles. Thanks for a super-fun photo shoot. I hope you are happy with these, and I'll see you soon!
